At Little Stars Nursery, we aim to keep our fees realistic and flexible while remaining competitive.

All fees must be paid in full for the month attended via bank transfer, standing order, or the Tax-Free Childcare scheme.

 

Late collection or early drop-off outside of booked session times will incur a charge of £5 for the first 5 minutes and £5 per minute thereafter.

 

Upon receipt of the invoice, a two-week deposit is required to secure your child’s place at Little Stars Nursery. If the deposit is not received within three days, the place will be offered to the next child on the waiting list.

 

A six-week written notice period is required to terminate the contract. All previously used sessions must be paid for in full. The deposit will be deducted from the final invoice, provided the full six-week notice is given.

 

The deposit is non-refundable if a place is confirmed but not taken.

 

A non-refundable registration fee of £75 is payable once the nursery place has been offered and accepted.

Fees will be charged from the start date stated on the registration form, including the settling-in period.

A minimum attendance of three full days per week is required. Booked days must include either a Monday or a Friday.

Ad-hoc sessions may be booked, subject to availability, at a cost of £120 per full day.

Session swaps are not permitted.

Fees remain payable in full for absences due to illness or holidays.

Fees will also remain payable if the nursery is required to close due to unforeseen emergencies or government instructions.

 

Nursery fees are calculated over a 50-week year (the weeks the nursery is open) and divided into equal monthly payments on a pro rata basis across 12 months. This means fees are payable during periods when the nursery is closed, including Christmas closure, Bank Holidays, and staff training days.

The nursery remains open throughout the summer months.

Our monthly fee is fully inclusive of all meals and snacks, learning resources, educational trips, special celebrations, and full access to our daily updates system. The fee also reflects our commitment to maintaining a high adult-to-child ratio, ensuring every child receives quality care, individual attention, and a safe, nurturing learning environment.

 

When your child becomes eligible for government-funded hours at age 3, please note that we offer funded places on a 15-hour stretched basis only for 3 and 4-year-olds. Additional charges may unfortunately apply. Reductions in government funding rates mean the provided funding does not fully cover the true cost of delivering high-quality childcare. As our nursery standards, staffing ratios, resources, and operating costs remain unchanged, the setting cannot operate at a loss. Therefore, parents may be asked to contribute towards services and consumables not fully covered by the funded entitlement.

A fully funded place may be offered if one becomes available; however, this is limited to one place per term and is strictly subject to availability.

The fee schedule is reviewed annually, usually in April. However, the nursery reserves the right to review fees earlier if necessary, for example, due to significant increases in operating costs or changes to the National Minimum Wage. Parents will always be given at least one month’s notice of any fee increase and will receive the updated fee structure.
